Fuzz pedal

    Received a Dr. Green Bearded Lady fuzz pedal a few days ago. There were no posts about this pedal anywhere but I liked the sound of it on the one available video about it. This fuzz goes from mild OD to fuzz insanity. I think the tones it gets are great. Very well built deal from GB. My only criticism is that the controls look simple but it takes a while to figure it all out. Not intuitive at all. Now that I have some hours on it I am happy with the results. Good to run it through some compression too.

    You can get a hi fuzz over a fairly clean bass sound and change the tone from thin to dirty which is cool. I really like the large palate of "vintage" tones you can get. Just have to be patient on the learning curve, I am surprised there is so little info out there about this pedal. Dr. Green has other pedals specific to bass. Octave,compressor, and reverb.

    That octaver could be interesting. I've heard good things about their old sub harmonizer units.
    The Dr. Green stuff doesn't seem widely available, so that might explain why there's little chatter about them.

    I think the bass pedals were introduced in 2013. It took me a while to track mine down.
    Ashdown makes tones of bass gear in the UK just not known here in US.

    I always liked the idea of that pedal, the different hi and lo sections sounds like a good solution for bass. I always keep an eye on the interwebs for a used one, id love to play around with it.

    I hate how close the footswitch is to the knobs on those Ashdown/Dr. Green pedals. Impossible to step on the switch without moving the knobs.
