Ok so I know I'm a freak. This winter has been long and cold, and I begun a morning tradition a few months ago eating a health food version of spoon sized shredded wheat with liberal doses of pure Maple syrup. A few days ago I was almost out of soymilk- I don't drink cows milk- so I made up the difference with fresh brewed coffee. Delicious! It's a new part of my morning routine.
One of my college roommates used to pour beer over his Wheaties. He referred to it as "the breakfast of ex-champions."
Shredded wheat and coffee doesn't sound terrible. I don't think it would work out with yer garden variety Captain Crunch and such. I eat oatmeal every morning at work. Tomorrow I'm gonna try adding black coffee instead of water.
I use real maple syrup Hoggz - one of the few benefits of living in New England. Maple is soluble instantly in any liquid. So yes it dissolves or mixes well in any milk like beverage
