Beautiful Boogie Bodies (early Warmoth) Bird's Eye Maple neck with Rosewood fingerboard. I have this listed as a second (as will become obvious shortly) due to the following:

    1) The heel in length is 3.5 inches instead of 4 inches
    2) The side dots are correct with the placement of position markers (Not respective fret locations (this is normal)). The face dots are shifted towards the nut about, let's say, 1/2"- (This is not "normal").

I've attached a pic of what the neck looks like in a standard Fender pocket. It's a great 2.5" in width it is that the heel is shorter than it should be. An easy remedy would be to take .5 inch off of a preferably undrilled body at the neck pocket.

    After the bad, the good!!

Amazing neck with wood just not readily seen at all. Neck has a wide "C" flatter profile (like an early 60's P bass. 1.75 at the nut. Standard 11/16" tuner hole diameters. I've shaped a Tusq nut to its current point (absolutely wonderful to work with although a reminder of why Luthiers charge $60.00 to fit and slot a nut!) Weighs 1 pound 8 ounces (no steel rods). Just an AMAZING NECK and will make a TOP NOTCH player for someone.$165.00 shipped in the CONUS!

The upper neck (in the lower picture) illustrates the discrepancy in it and a "normal" Boogie neck (or any Fender spec neck for that matter...)

And in this pic, the lower neck of the two...

    boogierw3.png

So much for digital photography, the left of the two side dots aligns perfectly with the face "12th" fret dots...

    boogierw7.png

It will actually bolt on if drilled although, not the coolest looker on a stock Fender spec body.

It matches the other Boogie neck to a tee... 24 13/16" fingerboard length from nut to end of neck... It's a 34" scale Fender spec neck... The face dots are "jacked" up towards the nut. There is more fingerboard material above the nut than is normal, even for a Warmoth... Given the dots are off, it's a "boo-boo" although one that does not affect usability... Who needs dots when you have ears?[IMG]

The side dots are where dots would be on a fretted neck... The dots are not like cheater line markers, if that makes sense. The dots line up perfectly with the fretted Warmoth Jazz neck I currently have for sale. It is a 20 "fret" (although fretless) neck...

I'm not gonna sweat this one. I should keep it but will sell if someone's interested in a neck that's SO MUCH BETTER than the price...

This was some excellently seasoned old growth (by today's standards especially) wood BEFORE it was made into a neck...

I was able to A/B this neck against the Status neck I recently sold... For those into this, it had a tap ring JUST like the Status (remarkably similar in fact) with a slighty more organic tone (which makes sense- it's wood but, IT'S WOOD!!)... Sadly, due to the lack of real interest, "somebody, somewhere, don't know what they're missing tonight...":)

That's a beautiful neck, if I may say so. Someone needs to snatch it!

You're the one with the endearing and meaningful user name!!:)

I used to have vinyl and a tube stereo... Listening to Percy Jones, Jeff Berlin with Bruford, et al...

The Dregs make the translation to digital (some stuff doesn't) and still GIVES ME THE WILLIES!!!:bassist:

So wait, whats up with the body, what would the total projected price be? Do we have a say in the design? That single pup one or a dual p would be gnarly. Any interest in trades? Would love to know total projected price w/ body.

    Please PM me.

Finally, in my life, I've had enough Fenders and the like apart to know a great neck and/or body by its resonant qualities... GREAT NECK HERE for respectively "chump change"...

    I've got two of these:)

    This one's for sale...

Imagine the best Warmoth neck you can and take 10 ounces (steel rods) off of it!
