A glimmer of hope for the Harwell-Grice Band... maybe a gig at our old backyard-hometown-stompin-ground; Chaos Mountain Brewing Co. Just maybe...
I had seven gigs in April and have eight booked this month. Feels good to be working again. Thankful for working with a trio right now as that’s what’s mainly booking around here.
That’s awesome, Tim. Things are just starting to move towards live music around here. Hoping we can put the band back together, will need a bit of practice time too…so maybe the fall for actual gigs.
Group Text from B-L Josh this morning; "possible gig on 5/15 and 5/22 in the works, check calendars." Been a long time since I got one of those.
I played and hosted a lot of driveway concerts throughout the pandemic which really helped my state of mind. Nice that other gigs are happening now too though.
Neat looking Model T bass with a Bisonic-like pickup Rick Turner Model T Bass Anigre Top - 5623-8.50 lbs | Willcutt Guitars | Reverb
Imagining RT's thought balloon... "this'll be kool, but if they catch on, I'll have to redesign the dingus strap extension..." Seriously, I wonder if they are short or medium-scale?
That wood was swiped from a mid ‘90’s Ampeg Baby Bass! Tell me I’m wrong? Don’t get me wrong, beautiful bass for sure, but I just walked back in time for sure!
I wonder if the dealer requested the Model T bass and the Bisonic-like pickup. Gould added Novak’s version of the Bisonic at the request of a dealer, it’s a unique and great sound from those pickups.
I'm almost/maybe/pretty-darn sure there might be an Electroline with a Darkstar pickup out there. I mighta' dreamed it too. Nah. It's out there. I saw it. Black EL4 with a Bisonic.
Like a can o' rusty marbles somedays man... Love that bass though. For the sake of discussion, one of us needs to find out if the Model T is a short-scale. That would very interesting.
Thanks, sounds like bass is the same - that's 3.57mm and 4mm is too big, 3mm too small, and the 3.5mm key I have is actually only 3.3mm and that's also too small. Off to fleabay for a 9/64...
