As I'm sure you can understand there are lots of trolls on the net which can be funny and are sometimes met with mirth, so people messing with you is an occupational hazard of being online. Don't find it pass ag myself, just a regular response.

But if folks' big dreams are for real and they don't harm others, then I say brlng 'em on!

Just to be clear about my previous post, I wasn't calling Greg C a troll, I was meaning lots of folks who post 'big dreams' are just trolling so Greg's response to you is just playful banter IMO.

 

Lighten up, man. I, and obviously some others, vaguely remembered the tiger thread. If you're going to toss out wildass, under-researched ideas, you've gotta expect some ribbing.

 

I guess the good news for the OP is there is not any known Great Whites in the English Channel like here in California. We have has several attacks on kayaks over the years.

 

I’m genuinely excited for the prospects of the OP pulling off this trip. I wish I was fearless enough to even entertain the possibilities.

I hope he invests in a high tech video recorder to document his adventures and posts them here for the skeptics.

 

Why does it not surprise me that the OP is the "I want a pet tiger" guy?

 

Oh they do pop up from time to time (usually nearer Cornwall), as do Tiger Sharks, and it's choc-full-o-Thresher sharks.

But those are all the least of the obstacles you'd face.
