It's got 3 frets. What the hell is it! o_O
The second one has been upgraded to 5.... :eyebrow:

  6. Like I said, there are no strings.
    :bag:

And those things aren't saddles. Look at other versions:

Here is a good article on this album cover. It is a space ship shaped like a guitar. What ever the four things that are in the bridge position the artist only knows. But the guitarist said he wanted a guitar and the artist came up with that.....

That’s a Tom Shultz prototype bridge for a bass.

That is a special design in anticipation of Jaco doing a couple of tunes with the band.

    Looks NOTHING like a Ray...

  16. I think it's been properly pointed out already that those aren't saddles. They're landing teeth.

Five pegs visible on this one.
    Look closely.
    Likely has six. 71TYPA2MeeL._AC_SL1050_.jpeg

Perhaps the landing teeth were the design inspiration for the Ray Ross bridge….

I converted a 6 string Modulus to a 5 and left all 6 tuners in place. I just replaced the bridge and nut, so that's probably what happened here.

Prototype when Gibson was trying to copy a Ray.
