Difference between Fender P pickups???

    The Fender website only lists one split P-bass pickup:

    The "Original Precision Bass" pickup, Item #009-2046-000

    However, Musicians Friend sells a "Original 62 P Bass Pickup"

    Are they the exact same pickup? Same specs, just different packaging and cloth-covered wires???

    For those who care, they're the same pickup. Fender just re-branded them.

    They can call it whatever they want to but no matter what they call it, I call it a great sounding pickup if you're a lover of vintage P-Bass tone.
