EMG-BTC vs Aguilar OBP3

I have both. I find the obp a bit more musical in character and the Emg dry.

BTC or BTS for me. Just the right amount of cut and boost. I prefer 2 band preamps as well.

For me there was a definate difference even when set flat (BTC) - treble boosted and ... just... different in both basses and with all pickups I tried it with.

Not for me. I really pretty much hate treble when it's boosted! Just me. I play classic rock, blues, contemp. worship music, and it just wasn't the tone I was after. I would like to try an OBP.

Throw a capacitor on the volume knob etc. That will tame down the highs because the BTC tone control can only take what the Vol pots give it
