    Hey Y'all,

This is an absolutely wonderful bass. I picked it up a short time ago and really love the range of tones and the feel of the G&L #8 neck (1.5" wide at the nut, 12" fretboard radius) with unlined ebony fingerboard. But I have another G&L fretless and the almost-acoustic group I was working on fretless chops for is in the process of dissolving. So I really can't justify keeping two sweet fretless basses around without a group to play them in (if I get me intonation good enough to play them in public, that its). So this bass, as much as I like it, is on the block.

    - recent G&L L-2000 (6-bolt neck)
    - looks like alder under sunburst
    - satin finished maple bicut neck
    - unlined ebony fingerboard
    - standard L2K electronics (dual MFD humbuckers, vol/treble/bass knobs, pickup selector, series/parallel and active/passive switches
    - G&L molded case
    - COA/case candy
    - 8.something pounds

It's in great shape - no scratches/dings/chips/gouges/etc. It has been played but I'd call it "excellent" condition. It's currently wearing D'addario Chromes (I really like those on this bass).

Skinny necked G&Ls can be hard to come by - and fretless ones even more so. My other fretless is a G&L SB-2 that I ordered new because I couldn't find a used skinny necked G&L fretless when I was looking for a fretless earlier this year.

    G&L SB-2 w/#6 neck

    Schroeder 1210L or 1212L (4 Ohm)
    Acme Low B2 series 2 (4 Ohm? I've got a PLX1804 I'd be pushing it with)

I've got a PM to a local TBer who was interested in it when I was thinking about selling it previously so he's got first dibs.

The other TBer is going to hold off for now so nobody has dibs - come and get it.

    Avatar 2x10 Neo

Sorry, if I were going to keep 2 fretlesses, this wouldn't be up for sale. If it were a fretted Fortress I might be tempted as I tried a friend's Warwick and liked the neck (narrow like I like but meaty enough to sit comfortably in my hand).

    Thanks guys!

It looks like I'm going back to SB-2s so I'd really be interested in a trade for an SB-2 if anyone with an SB-2 wants to go the L2K route.

There's a reflection on the edge of the body under the bridge (and you can make out a matching reflection in the edge of the bridge above). It's not a ding (no dings on this one at all).

more pics coming tomorrow (weather/lighting permitting)

I need a dad like me! The list is extensive of the gear we've been through in the last six years or so (Dylan started playing bass in the sixth grade and is a senior this year), but current gear looks like this:

    G&L L2000E
    G&L L2000 fretless
    Warwick Corvette Standard 5 fretless
    Christopher upright
    Avalon U5
    Mackie i1200
    Acoustic Image Focus II
    Aguilar GS112 (x2)
    GK 400RB-III 210 combo
    EBS octabass
    Fishman Pro EQ platinum bass

He's also had Fender, Carvin and Warmoth basses, Mesa Boogie, Peavey and Acoustic Control Corp amps, and Mesa, Ampeg and SWR cabinets. It's a sickness, I know. But his talent is worth it.
