    Hi, there,

I was thinking of plugging (at very low volume) a GK MB500 into a stereo, on the manual when talking of the line out says "This connection requires a shielded patch cord" then it shows a picture of a 1/4 plug cable with a male XLR cable on the other side. English is not my first lanuage so i don't undertstand ANTYTHING of this, don't know what is a "shielded patch cord". I cannot plug a 1/4 plug cable from the MB to the stereo line in on choosing the line out mode/option? Please tell me if i can do this.

If not, can i select the headphone option and plug it instead of to a headphone to my stereo with a 1/4 plug cable?

    Thank you!

    Passinwind I know nothing.

A shielded patch cord can mean pretty much anything except a typical unshielded speaker cable or an AC power cable, just don't use one of those and you're fine.

A conventional instrument cable makes it ok?

Yeah, that'll work fine as long as your stereo has 1/4" inputs and can handle whatever level the GK outputs.

  6. There are also adaptors from 1/4" to RCA or RCA to 1/4" for cables.
