Ah, the inside. OK, I have only eaten green ones. And I eat skin and all.

I used to peel them and sink my teeth into them, but it seems the spoon method is more socially acceptable and a little less messy, so that's what I use now.

Here's another Kiwi fruit question - soft or hard(ish). I like the tangy flavour of the slightly hard fruit.

Sorry to have to burn you (given that I don't speak English natively), but... "Practise" is the verb and "practice" is the noun. If you write American, something I do not, you may use practice for both. But writing practise is by no means wrong, and in fact more correct for me to use in that sentence.

I eat them whole, including the skin. It's full of flavinoids.

It's full of pokey, stingy little hairs that embed in my lips and make me cry. Like a man. Man-cry.

I haven't eaten one for a while but when I did I cut the top off and scooped out the insides with a teaspoon like you would an egg but I might now try eating the skin.

Do those that eat the skin shave it first?

We get them in packs in Aus that come with a spife, so you can cut it, and scoop it out with the one handy tool.

Eating green ones skin and all is wrong.

a friend of mine may have designed that "spife"

when he wasnt long out of Uni and living in NZ for a year, he designed a spife that the NZ Agricultural board or whoever ended up using to promote yellow kiwifruits

    cheers

Wrap it with newly fried bacon and stick the whole dayum thing in your mouth.

Don't worry that sizzling sound is just the hot bacon grease burning those nasty little kiwi hairs.

It is also REALLY good to coat this whole thing with peanut butter... but then there's the whole stick to the roof of your mouth thing... but I like that.

    Enjoy!

  17. I greatly enjoyed eating the little guys straight off the vine in New Zealand.

Erk. Having handled kiwi fruit... Erk. I can't imagine eating it with the skin.

Usually i peel and then chomp on the green insides.
