    Hi all!

This new baby arrived just a few hours ago! I got it from LeFay who support me with this axe and I am very happy with it!

The Waran has a bolt on neck with a very slim neck profile. It plays great and has a fantastic tone. If you can try out one of this great basses!

I really, really like that.

  4. The top horn comes to the 7th fret? Wow. I'd think you could tie an anvil to the headstock and still have good balance.

  5. The strap button is at the 12th frets.

The only thing I like more than looking at LeFay basses is playing them.

    Gorgeous bass, just beautiful!

The cool thing is that they are making even the pickups and hardware (besides tuners) by their own! LeFay Rough Crystals are already to be found in many German bass guitars but now they are producing even their own bridges. Most amazing are the new headless bridges from them. And a Pangton is a killer headless!

Padouk I think, like the neck..
    no?

To me Lefay stand absolutely second to none and are a lot better than most, in terms of craftsmanship, attention to detail, and executing something
one has set out to do at the highest level... very well designed too.
I think all lefay instruments balance well.
    The finish too is fantastic.
I think Reiner would not have anything less leave his workshop.
There's only one or two builders I know of whose work I would see at the same or similar level.

The waran is not too much up my road, but knowing Reiner I'm sure it too does exactly as Reiner intended when coming up with it.
    Nice!!

I know Reiner of LeFay many years and bought several basses from him. Last year my own company went down and I decided to be a pro musician again. Having a deal with another big german company (W..) I needed a new bass for an upcomming tour and band work. The one did not want to help out, LeFay did! The exact details shall be kept between LeFay and me.

But LeFay showed that they are really into music, with heart and soul!

I will do some back view pics tomorrow.. :)

Nice to hear that-NOT ,of course the part about your own company!!
I personally can't think of a big german company with "W" that I'd prefer to lefay( but that's just me,of course...), so I'm sure you're much better off this way.
And Reiners' instruments do deserve all exposure they can get as far as I'm concerned.
I look forward to those back view pics( any chance for sound clips too??)

Wow! Love the look of that bass! Went to the website and looked at all of the different basses... sure wish I could read German! What kind of wood is the body made of?

You'll certainly make a statement with that bass!
