New Attention Deficit CD!

Discussion in 'Recordings [BG]' started by Zonplayer, Dec 15, 2000.

  1. I heard talk of a new cd from our buddy Michael Manring w/ Alex, and Herb.
    Anyone heard anything?
    Any thoughts on the original?
I love it, especially considering most if it was improvised.

I also have the first cd, and I kind of like it from time to time...although not all of it is improvised, I read somewhere. I think that was the case with the beginning of the fast track, the one after the "Pelican" song.
And also with some "shared licks", you can't improvise those.
I really like some of the songs, the e-bow is nice too. But for instance, the harmonies in the second song are just ugly in some parts.
You can say "yes, but that's jazz", but jazz or not, I find it in my opinion to be very ugly sounding.
I think I like the song before the last song the most, with all those cool harmonics, and the feel of the song is very disturbingly close.
I can recommend the cd to anyone here.
