I've got an easy one for you guys; I've got a QSC RMX850 and the spec say:

    STEREO MODE (Both Channels Driven)
    8 ohms - 200w
    4 ohms - 300w
    2 ohms - 430w

So my question is if I'm running stereo and connect a 4 ohm cab to each channel would I be running the amp at 2 ohms or is each channel independent, running at 4 ohms each?

    thanks
    Joe

    ea channel independent. Thus "stereo"

concur, each cab is running at 4 ohms. if you ran bridge mono, you'd have 2 ohms, but i think you should run stereo if you're using two 4 ohm cabs. if you use only one of your cabs, use bridge mono.

Thanks guys. I'm currently running bridged mono into a 4 ohm 4x10, considering picking up a 2nd cab but wanted to make sure I was understanding the ohms/wattage correctly before making any descisions.

Each amp section is independent - so think of it as two different amps.

    Both 4ohm cabs get 300W.
