For those of you who don't know what Yo Miles! is, it is a fusion group that covers music from Miles Davis' electric period. The results are fantastic. What drew me to this band was the fact that Michael Manring plays in this band. http://www.archive.org/audio/etree-details-db.php?id=9262 http://www.archive.org/audio/etree-details-db.php?id=21385 On the left hand side on both pages, you can download a zip file of all the songs. And for those of you who aren't familiar with .shn files, you have to convert them to .wav format with a simple little program called "shorten". Once they are .wav files, you can burn them to CD, or convert them to .mp3. The Fillmore show is available for download in .mp3 format, but I wouldn't suggest it. .mp3's are compressed and have lossy audio, as opposed to .shn/.wav which are uncompressed and have no loss. If you like fusion, these recordings will definitely blow you away. http://www.softsound.com/Shorten.html I sure do love the archive!
Will definitely check these out over the weekend! '69-'75 Miles Davis is some of my favourite music and Yo Miles! do a great job of keeping it alive!
is it normal the download of the firsts how is taking several hours, and actually timed out at one point last night after a good 3ish hours at least.
bump, How long did it take you all to download the first show as a .shn? I'M on my third try. I managed to download just Bitches Brew which took upwards of 30-45 minutes...
