This is a very early Devon Smullen bass, spalted maple top, ash body. Finish is very light, condition is excellent, no aggregious marks or dings. Sperzel strap buttons
EMGs P/J pickups and preamp, 18v preamp; so limitless options for upgrades and headroom
This bass scorches, it plays beautifully. Neck is thin top to bottom, U shaped. It is high quality, assuming Mighty Mite, I haven't removed it to check.
From previous owner:
Original neck was fine but eventually the truss rod seized (or was maxed out, I think). This prompted them to add the replacement neck which makes the bass 100% your new favorite
Original was Maple with Rosewood board

Original seller included the old neck with my acquisition. I can include if buyer wants.
I have reached out to Devon Smullen, I can include this communication; he has quoted me $650 for him to create a replacement- he scoffed at his old choice of rosewood, I asked for a quote for ebony, and $650 was his quote. He did say this would be an Aeon neck.
