Ibanez SR890PD 4 string bass

Posting this for a friend, older gentleman who doesn't use the internet. This bass was his late wife's, purchased new in 1992.
All original, in very good shape, a few little micro dents on the bottom by input jack. Assume they are from either hitting stand or end of cord hitting when trying to plug in.
He would like to get around $1000, not too sure of the market on these, I couldn't find any for sale currently.
