I haven't had a chance to check out the contents of the box yet, but it arrived safely and quickly. I'll follow up if there are any surprises, but I don't expect any.
I drove out to buy a cabinet from Joe earlier today and he did everything possible, and more than was necessary or expected, to make it a smooth and easy transaction. He gave me a great price and I was willing to drive all the way to his area (we live about four hours apart), but he came to meet me about an hour along the route.
The cabinet is in mint condition, works great, and was packaged in the original heavy shipping box. It was a great incentive to pull out my backup amp head and figure out which tube wasn't doing the right things so that I could fire it up. Sounds great!
The one things I will say is that even a lightweight 2x12 cab is a pain to carry in the shipping box. I look forward to never moving it that way again since the handles are perfectly placed for balanced carry and the factory cover should be all the protection I need. One of the advantages of being your own roadie. Maybe the only one, come to think of it.
