Bought a USA peavey. Seller shipped via USPS.
Bass was damaged by USPS in shipping.
Seller DID NOT insure the shipping for the selling price. Insured for a bit more than half the value.
Contacted the seller for help, after 2 days they responded and said "sorry, that sucks."
No offer for help, return, partial refund, help with a claim (as the shipper should)
Needed to submit the claim by myself, as the recipient.
Buyer beware, after the seller ships the item, it's no longer their problem or concern if the bass shows up in pieces...

This is a huge misrepresentation of what happened. I never just said 'that sucks'. At one point in our conversation I did say 'this sucks'. By the time I was made aware of the damage, the buyer had already put in a claim so there was nothing I could do. I refunded the money and got the bass back. Now I can't make a claim because he has not called to release his claim. I have 66 positive reviews over my 16yrs of being on TB with no negatives. I have 150 positive reviews on Ebay with no negatives. If anyone has any questions I have screenshots of our entire conversations. *edited: I insured the bass for what I paid for it, figuring I was on the hook for anything over that. Obviously I ate the entire amount, lesson learned.

Looks like my reply was removed. Buyer is completely misrepresenting our conversation. I said 'This sucks'. By the time I messaged with the buyer he had already started a claim with USPS. I ended up refunding the buyer and he returned the bass. After repeated requests, he would not call to end his claim to USPS so that I could make a claim so I'm left with damaged bass. I have all the screenshots of our conversation if anyone wants to see them.
