Won't bore anyone with the gory details, suffice it to say I sent a bass that developed cracking on the surface layer of a fine piece of redwood burl. Probably due to FedEx heat, pressure in the plane, whatever.
Zoomie was an incredible gentleman about the whole matter and never became accusatory at all. A true southern gentleman! In the end, we're both satisfied and happy about the outcome of the trade. We're both keeping the traded basses and we'll live another day!
If you have ANY reservation about dealing with Zoomie (John is his real name) - don't. I ditto his sentiments about trades with him in the future and consider him now to be a good friend.
