Found this young lovely at an old music store and had to pick her up. No knowledge of the previous owner. What you see here is all in the eye of the beholder: some would call it a beater, some vintage, some 'reliced', you get the picture. My favorite part of this bass is the neck. It played great when I had strings on it and it has a beautiful aged yellow to it. It felt and looked straight, although i don't have the expertise to tell you exact details in that regard. The frets have plenty of life, I can tell you that. As you can see, the tone and volume knobs are missing, which causes it to have a bit of a ground hum as is. It's also missing the little metal piece that covers the truss rod down at the nut. It did have a great thuddy sound though, and if it were me id probably run some flats on it and use it to play motown. That or punk it up with a pick, McKagan style. Oh, and i got it at right at 9 lb on the old bathroom scale. Anyway, I can try to answer any questions you have etc. just hit me up. Ill ship it in a gig bag, with a new set of strings, for $200. Will also listen to trade ideas if you have something you'd like to swap.
