It's with regret that I'm listing my Alembic Distillate. If you've never owned an Alembic there's no time like now. Ebony board, neck through Koa top and Koa head stock. Age of brass hardware and even a brass nut. Q switch. Every bass should have one.
Until you've played an Alembic it's hard to imagine why anyone would pay 10 K for a bass. And think it's a bargain. Smooth. Even. Beautiful.
Local sale and cash only. No PayPal. No shipping. Comes with the original hardshell case. To the best of my knowledge, except for the string and battery this bass is all original and never suffered any repairs. I am one mile off rt 80 exit 37 in New Jersey. Half an hour from NYC
One small ding by the input jack. A bit of wear on some of the brass. The back control panel has some scratches.
No picture collectors. If you're serious about buying the bass come and look at it. Bring cash. It seems like a lot of people are just into collecting pictures. Try Craigs for that. No tire kickers. Just buyers.
These aren't the fungible of resources. Every Alembic, even the models, are unique works of art. You can order your favorite wood, hardware etc. Thus it's hard to get a blue book value for them I am asking $2500. If this is too high tell me. And I'm sure if it's too low you'll let me know.
I don't have a balance but this bass is heavier than most.
Reasonable questions will be answered. I reserve the right to stop the sale.
