This is a 1983 USA Fender Precision bass. This bass has at least one new pot. Original pups, scratches here and there and everywhere and swirly buckle rash not down to wood. Official Fender pickguard but not original to the bass. The neck features a black finish, 20 frets, rosewood fretboard and fender headstock. The nut is 1 5/8 wide. This neck was made in the 70's in Japan by Matsumoku, then its previous owner added the Fender decal and painted red inlays on the side of the fretboard. This is NOT an original Fender neck. The trust rod works fine. I put some 75 reissue tuners on this neck. There are no dents anywhere on this bass and the back of the neck is nice and smooth. The neck does have a very small 2 fret wide scrape on the very edge of the fretboard on the G side. It took just a little wood off and it does not effect the playability at all. In fact it's hard to notice. This bass plays fine and sounds good. It weighs 8lbs. 6 oz. on the bathroom scale. Good beat around the bar bass.
