I lost my job and my unemployment checks arent cutting it until I find something new, so this is up for sale in hopes that it will give me some breathing room.
PICTURES HERE
-2011 VM '77 Jazz Bass Body
-2006 CV Precision Bass Neck
-MIM Jazz pickups
-Fender 4-Ply Tortoise Shell Pickguard, Control Plate, Jazz Knobs, Pickup and Bridge Cover, Thumbrest
-250K Alpha Pots, Drop Orange .047 Cap, Switchcraft Mono Jack
-Dunlop nickel rounds .045-.105
I'll throw in a white MIA standard pickguard too, without any mods.
Something I put together over this last spring. I like the sound of a jazz bass, but their necks tend to be too thin for my taste. The neck is poly but feels a lot like nitro to me, very smooth and comfortable. The bass is a good weight, I'd guess around 9-10lbs which is an average jazz bass. It balances very well, the tone is surprisingly good and the combination of a jazz body with a precision neck is lethal! Body is showing some wear, nothing unusual, just from normal playing. The only considerable is a scratch that goes from the bass side of the pickup cover toward the outer edge of the bass. Not noticeable unless looking for it.
Disclaimer: One hole for thumbrest was drilled too big in the pickguard (not the body) but is fully covered by the thumbrest. Doesn't affect anything, just putting that out there. I did not drill any replacement holes in the body to accommodate the pickguard, the screws were "massaged" into place and some are a little crooked. They are not bad at all.
$300 SHIPPED EAST COAST, +$20 WEST COAST
Like I mentioned, if you read, I lost my job.
No trades. No offers.
I am strapped for money, and IMO this is a fair deal.
