Hi everyone,

I'm selling my '99 Ibanez BTB1000 Made in Japan 4 string bass. This is a great bass that I never get a chance to play anymore so it needs to go.

This bass features a 3 piece Maple neck, 3 band active eq, monorail II bridges and a 35" scale length. The body is flamed maple top with mahogany and a maple back.
The bass is in great condition but does have a nick in the headstock and a few scratches from belt buckles on the back.
It plays like a dream but it needs a new home.
Comes with a Road Runner hard shell case

This is the first year for the BTB bass which started Ibanez in the more traditionally styled boutique bass market. These basses are always well reviewed, don't miss this chance to pick up this phenomenal bass!

PM me if you are interested or would like to see more pictures or pictures of a certain area and I will get back to you as soon as I can. If you are in the Philly area I can meet you to arrange the exchange and if not we can figure out the cost of shipping in US and Canada

Serial No. FN9910330

What kind of Pups does it have? It's a looker for sure...Is it a thin neck like, for example, an sr500? Thanks:)

The pups are the original passive Ibanez pickups, I never felt the need to upgrade and I also got a 5 string not long after and this became the backup.

The neck profile is a little wider and mildly thicker than an SR. SR 4 strings are usually 38mm at the nut and this is 41mm. I think the best comparison would be a P-bass (41.3mm) with a slimmer back contour. The scale length is 35" which help a little with keeping tensions if you are tuning down. I can switch between my MM5 (34" scale) and this with no trouble at all.

It's a great playing bass but definitely more like a P-Bass than an SR.

Thanks for the comment and questions:)

Here are some pics of the frets. The frets look great and don't have any divots in them. They could use some cleaning. I also noticed that the truss rod cover is missing a screw and is chipped so for full disclosure I thought I better post a pic.

How has someone not bought this? I paid $500 for mine, and it was worth every penny. I've been offered $700 for mine but didn't sell. I absolutely love it.

Great bass. Just got lucky and picked up a BTB 1000EOL for $350. Maple flame top on mahogany. Love it. Killer tone not to mention its outright vanity for looks. Made in 2002 with the Bartolini pups and eq. A real crusher. Love it, my new main axe. Thud and THUNDER!!
