I have two of that particular model, my other one is black. I am keeping the black one because the pickups are slightly darker than this one. This one is for people that are looking for a rumbly, growly Jazz bass like instrument.

Interesting features of that model are IMHO:
- The scale of the bass is 32.5 inches. It is a medium scale. It makes the lower frets a little bit closer together which is a little more comfortable. However, at 32.5 inch, it still sounds like a 34 inches long scale bass. Short scale basses around 30 inch scale have a different character than long scale basses. This one sounds more like a long scale than a short scale.
- The pickups are made of ceramic. The pickups are loud and proud. The bridge pickup is particularly growly.
- The neck is c-shape with a 10 degrees fingerboard radius.
- If you put a battery in the back compartiment. The knobs will light up. It is a neat trick that maybe useful on a dark stage. It does not mean the bass is active though. There is no preamp in that bass. It is a passive bass.
- The sound is more modern than your typical Fender Jazz bass. It is more scoop. More low end and more top end with a bump in the high mids around 1 KHz to my ears.
- Weighs 7 pounds on a shipping scale.
