Details

I have recently completed a bass modeled after an 1820 Ceruti. I traced the instrument and had access to it throughout the making process. It is a 7/8th flat back bass made of gorgeous aspen for the back and ribs and the top is of very nicely quartered spruce. The scroll is grafted onto a maple neck and made to represent the original Ceruti walnut scroll. String length is 42". This bass had a very big sound and is going to be a great orchestral bass or jazz bass
Attached is a photo of David Gage playing it at the recent Oberlin Bass Makers workshop.

Thanks for looking,

Corey
