Ampeg EQ

I did a search but nothing specific turned up. Does anyone know, for any and all Ampeg amp products, which tone controls serve as a semi/parametric EQ meaning, is there a bandwidth associated with the midrange control center freq. control? And if so what fraction/octave range(?).

Also, do any of the products over the course of production include any preset bandwidths in any of the EQ control features?

It's different depending on the amp. If im reading your question right, the mid freq centers on the 3 position swiitches (v4, etc) are 300 1000 3000 or 200 800 2500 (I think) for the has versions. The 5 position switches are like 200 800 1300 2500 3000 or something like that. It's in the product literature for each of the amps. As far as bass and treble I don't know off hand, I'm sure you could find it in the tech specs somewhere.
 
...thanks, what I'm referring to is what 'Jazz' commented on which is bandwith freq.. In the manuals, for say most all mid range selector switch's is, the language used is "center frequency'". Therefore, I'm assuming there must be a pre-set bandwidth associated with the design. It's not just that freq. bieng modified/cut/boost.

Same goes with some control knobs. For instance, I understood from Jerrold awhile back the the svp-cl bass control knob, while it's set at 20Hz, it's semi-parametric in that it has a pre-set bandwidth associated with it the more you turn the dial. Now the MANUAL does not say that, thus one reason for my query.

My tone really started coming together when I researched this a few years back. Turns out, I was in a push/pull with certain frequencies due to bad eq'ing habits ( like boosting pos 3 (centered @ 800hZ) while engaging ultra-low and ultra-hi ). I don't remember much about it, and have lost all the literature I had collected, but I did manage to discover some great amp and eq pedal settings that actually work TOGETHER despite the migraine it gave me in the process.
 
...just so you know where I'm coming from (as perhaps other's may be interested) as a practical matter, I'm finding it more and more critical in live situations where I'm asked specific info on helping the sound team get the EQ mix right.

And so in my Church gig where it's top of the line sound board and speaker equipment (not to mention the auditourium acts like a big boomy bass cabinet), the sound guy Eq's my bass signal the way I like it and as it suits the room. To this end,
when the guy askes me what I'm sending him I tell him my signal is cutting all freq. below 20hz and above 8kfrom the dial knob control, as well as an 800hz boost from the midrange selector; I just don't know if I'm telling him the truth, the whole truth and nothing but....

The midrange switch determines the center frequency that will be adjusted by the mid range knob. I have not seen any specs as to what the bandwidth or "Q" is.
IMO, I've never cared for any of the push to boost low or high in any Ampeg head that I've owned (V4B, 3 Pro, or SVT-CL)
