I love the red grills of the new Fbass cabinets, but some guys do not.

I'd like to get an idea of what you guys think...

Do you like the red grills?

Do you hate them?

Do you not care?

Would you like to be able to order a cabinet and specify the grill color yourself?

Please weigh in.

No offense also as I LOVE F Basses, but the Logo is too big for my taste as well. Just doesn't look classy. Looks like someone is trying to "SHOUT" "F Bass". In that regard, it's working. again, no offense intended. I love and admire the bass work George and staff do. But these cabs are NOT appealing visually in the slightest.
Wow. They sure are to me.

Actually, it is very common for high end brands to oversize their logos... but I was interested just in the concept of colored grills with the poll, not logo choices.

I think the option to pick a colour is awesome - for best results I'd say allow a bunch of options for a moderate fee (grill colour, carpet/tolex/duratex colour) and have an option for more choices - like a old school grille cloth and maybe different handle choices for an extra bit. You obviously need to factor in the production scale and it's nature for this.

It's probably not worth it above medium scale production.

I like the red grille, reminds me of some ashdown cabs.

I like this thinking -- otherwise you might get guys wanting custom cabinets with drink holders, ash trays and iPad docks built in.

Wow, Ken, you amaze me again and again with what you know.

I'd forgotten about the Carvin Red Eye cabinets, and I used to own one!

They didn't have red grills, but they did have the red "eye."

Ah, that was it... the 'red eye' of the tweeter. Anyway, kind of a similar look with the red and black and the oversized white logo.

[Smiling] Me too, and cup holders.

Personally, I prefer having customized cabs, especially because I almost never play through some company backline. Rather than relegate some dark black cab to the background in the corner (and be a company shill when I don't get paid to advertise), I use my cabs as part of the stage look.

Cup holders and a hook for the bass to hang on. I HATE guitar/bass stands. Hate hauling them around just to have somewhere to safely put my bass. I hang mine right on my cabs...

Now to make a cup holder for the other side...:D
