Pedal Power

Hi!
I’m planning to buy one of the pedaltrain pedal boards, because pedal board that I currently have is a mess. One of the main reasons why I’m getting pedaltrain is that you can run all the cables underneath. And now I have to solve powering issue. Currently I use one spot + daisy chain. But I would prefer not to use it with pedaltrain, because it gives less flexibility were to place pedals, you have to think all the time if you can reach this or that pedal with daisy chain.
I see there are budget power brick options –

I’m wondering if any of those could be recommended/not recommended. I see no point paying 192 EUR for Voodoo Lab if it’s not a must.
All the pedals that I currently have are 9v boss type.
Thanks!

I bought a Gator G-Bus last week for my PT1, and so far so good, I researched on here first and it does have some bad reviews. Im yet to see why... I know its not as good as an isolated power supply for each unit(voodoo labs etc). But, like yourself, was daisy chaining and I was getting alot of noise. Since I got the G-Bus, NO noise, 8 9VDC outlets, 7 of which I use, and it has 3 18VDC outlets which is handy because I use an OCD pedal. I did find it a little stupid they only supplied one 18V cable though...

Never tried those other supplies, but Im pretty content with the Gator.

If you only need 9 volt, the voodoo labs pedal power works well. I've never had a problem with mine, and I use a pedal train. The mounting slots line up perfectly. The only disadvantage is only 8 outputs, and the 9v thing. My needs are minimal for pedals (typically never using more than 5 or 6) so this power set up works perfect for me. It definitely aids with keeping all the wires underneath, and low profile.

I use a T Rex Fuel Tank Jr. and love it. It's inexpensive, all the outputs are isolated, and it comes with everything you need to daisy chain, reverse the polarity, and/or double the voltage or amperage. At one point I was powering 8 pedals with it without a problem!

Which Pedaltrain board do you use? I have a Nano and am wondering if the FT Jr. will fit underneath it without modification.

+1 on this! Fantastic, relatively inexpensive option to the other players. Best for those with mostly 9v and say, no more than one 18v pedal they want to power with it. Easily Velcros under most PT boards. (Actually, I use Dual Lock instead of Velcro.) Comes with a wide variety of cables.

I use the 1-Spot and I KNOW that BOSS stomps are just noisy anyway.

I have a few - BOSS pedals, that is - and when they are out of the loop, the 1-Spot is great - no noise at all.

Put a BOSS pedal in the chain and in bypass especially, there's noise again. So maybe you shouldn't fault the 1-Spot - it might just be the BOSS pedals.
