Piezo pickup system for chambered bass?

I have used a lot of the hipshot piezo bridges but this customer is wanting a wooden bridge piezo system. I went to Fishman's and struck out not sure who else may have something. Oh it will be a 19mm space 5 string just to clarify. Any ideas or links would be great. Thanks ..t

Are you making an acoustic style bridge, are you making an individual saddle bridge??? Do you want an under saddle, or do you want ghost type saddles that you can mount? Without specifics one can only guess your plans and direct you to what you want. See K&K, Highlander, graphtech, David Gage to start.

Fishman is still in the dark ages as far as undersaddle pickups go. Theirs still sound like the quacky piezos from ages ago.

LR Baggs and Highlander have completely surpast them and have undersaddle systems that capture 360 degree vibrations and sound incredible! Fishman is still using pressure sensitive technology. They are like Beta to LR Baggs and Highlanders Blue ray!

Sorry for the confusion an acoustic style bridge was what i was planing although considering how much further back most "B" strings have to be to intonate correctly I wonder how practical that is?

Yes, Rob uses the Fishman Matrix. You could also check out B-Band; they make an acoustic guitar pickup similar to a piezo but made out of a different material. The pickup I got for my guitar has a good five inches of useable conductor ribbon.

I have a 2010 Mouse 30 that has a Fishman in it. I've had too many pickups in too many instruments to recommend it any further than to say it works very well in this particular bass.

Tom. I'm happy to examine any of my piezo basses and photo the set ups.

Rob Allen uses fishman piezo and pre. This works on his five and six strings as well as the mouse.

If my memory is correct, Joe veillette uses a flat ribbon piezo (sourced from alverez) he cuts to length with a d-tar pre.

Rick turner is all d-Tar.

Jon shuker from the uk uses a fabulous system called a Schertler blue stick. Not a piezo but a flat condensor element that sits under the saddle.

I'm excited to see a clement wood bridge bass. While the metal bridge piezo basses sound great, the solid wood is very distinctive.

RCM sells piezo elements. I'm using the 'bass excellence' elements in my build, which I'll build (somehow) into a wooden bridge. It's going to be a piezo-only bass.
