Bass Ownership Poll!

I'm genuinely curious to see the kind of demographics we have in the forum in regards to which basses everyone owns (or, if you have several, what you consider your main).

It's unfortunate I'm not going to get every boutique maker out there, but I'm going to include some options to hopefully cover everyone.

I play in three groups using three different basses -

- Lakland 5-string P bass
- Fender P of fairly recent vintage
- 1978 fretless Fender P

I like each bass for the group I use it with.

No spot to vote for Peavey so no vote from me. Peavey is neither custom or boutique so it does not fit there. Oh well.

Of the three basses I own, my Main bass is my Yamaha BB300. While I love my Schecter Diamond Series Elite 5 string, I'm not sufficiently proficient on it to gig with it. I've owned Fenders (Stu Hamm "Urge", '97 Am Dlx Jazz fretless), Michael Kelly (Dragonfly 5 string fretless), Takamnie Jasmine AEB, and the Dean EABC I got last year as a replacement for the former acoustics I sold.

I also sold both Fenders. I prefer my Yamaha to either Fender I've owned. Just my preference.

I also play a Carvin, I actually didn't know if I should have voted custom or boutique, but I went for boutique.

I think my SB is no less bass than any other boutique, so I taught why not.
