Have seen this mentioned in other threads. So your assignment - find a pic of the bass you'd buy if you could find your ideal "birth-year" bass.

If I went with a 1965 bass I guess I'd have to go with a Precision, but... I see little way I'd spend the cash for what someone would want, and I'd end up not loving the tone after I had it.

So I've been defaulting to either my High School graduation year (1983) or year I got married (1986). Some interesting things for my tastes in those years.

Was born in 1991.. IMO there's nothing special basses on those years except the music man golden years..

Fender had a ton of different models in 1975, that are easily found.......however, finding a lefty is another thing.
