Help: Bass Identification

Pictures from the mid-to-late 80's. No idea where I picked this bass up, nor what I ever did with it, but from time to time I think about it fondly.

I recall it being pretty light. 2x2 tuners, gold hardware, off-white P-pup. Seems as if I was told it was Korean, but I was a dumb kid, and would have believed anything.

Any help?

Isn't that just the most special GAS--where you pine for an old instrument you played one time (or for a few years) with ZERO memory of its quality or distinction beyond nostalgia...?

I'm actually almost finished building a fretless short scale out of my old Vantage VS600 electric guitar. Inspired by the symmetrical body and similar coloration to my old Model X.
Was a pretty decent electric guitar...

Just hafta reply to this pic from the '80's...... I see what looks to be either a fifty or hundred "115B" Yamaha Bass Amp. I still have mine, although my oldest son blew the speaker out about 14 years ago and I replaced it just a few years back. It probably has no more than 100 hours on it. It has that killer Solid-State sound, along with that cool distortion knob. Meanwhile, the big behemoth sits.
Also have a preliminary pic of my Cort bass. Has a mark on the body that I plan on re-lacquering. More later in a PM. -Lenny
