Hi guys, I want this custom bass built for me...let me know what you think:

'51 P-bass style
Body w/amoeba pickguard
Tele-style headstock
Chrome control Plate
Butterscotch Blonde (like the ones I love)
BUT
5-string, maple neck, fretboard
Active/Passive electronics
Single coil (jazz) Neck Pickup
Humbucker (MM style w/coil tap) Bridge Pickup
BadAss II Bridge (edit:apparently not )
String-Through the body

Any suggestions are also welcome

No problem. You can actually change the title yourself- when viewing the title in the Basses forum, click to the right of the title, and the title will become text editable

Any pickguard shaped like an amorphous blob, I guess.

Think he wants the 72 tele bass shape.

I actually mean like a '51...I thought I'd heard it referred to that, so that's the description I used...

Now we got that out of the way, I don't think you can get a Badass bridge and string thru body. It's one or the other.

Any reason you want the J to be a single coil?

i prefer the butterscotch blond/black PG...

I'm thinking about neck size...I don't want something too cramped at the nut...and I'm not to familiar with profiles, but I don't want something to ....big? Large/compound radius neck, perhaps? anyone?

The new Badass III bridges allow for through body stringing but I have not been able to find a 5-string version.

The Leo Quan web site is way out of date but Glen's email is there and I know he is very approachable for questions.

Hipshot Type A is a very nice bridge, too, and they definitely have a 5-string through body. Strings spacing is also adjustable.
