Koa/Koa LB75 that I bought in 92. Upgraded the preamp to the carvin 3 band in 2001. This has been my main bass since I bought it in Highschool. I have played in mostly blues based rock and hard rock bands over the years, and it always served me well.

Starting to think about dropping in some Nordys and maybe an Audere...

I don't have a pic of mine, but I bought my LB60 Koa back in early '86. Got it loaded with gold hardware, a Kahler trem, and the stereo electronics. I have played the snot out of this thing for the last 20 years, and it still plays like a dream. Last month I finally upgraded the electronics to EMG HB's with the BTS circuit. Now I love it more than ever.

This is an LB75 (Koa/Maple) with the wide, asymmetrical, neck option ... one of the best necks I've ever played -- probably my favorite.

I don't have any pics right off hand, but mine is a 2000 Tobacco Sunburst LB75, alder body, and maple/koa neck. Every player who picks it up cannot get over how light it is (it can't weigh more than 7 pounds, if that).
I still remember the first gig I used it one. I sound checked, and when my guitarist heard it through the FOH, he couldn't believe how awesome it sounded. The new bass hype has long past, yet I still find myself falling in love with it more after every gig. That's the sign of a quality instrument.

I only have one Carvin bass- a one piece walnut B5 bolt kit I assembled a few years ago. Lots of guys enjoy playing it- nice tone and great playability. Have fun doing your kit. By the way, I had to contact Carvin's tech help to find out specifically how to wire the different colored wires as instructions didn't include that.
I used to have a all maple lb20. It was my first bass and I miss it dearly. I will own another carvin or four

My Carvins:
B5, AC40 and LB70.
Since the photo I've had the new Carvin SP2 soapbar pickups installed in the B5. I also put in the new preamp with mid-sweep. The LB70 is still my favorite, though.
