OK, I've searched and I know the history behind these basses. However, all I could find info on are the bolt on necks. I have a neck through. This bass is just about the closest thing to perfection (sound, feel, evenness, everything) I ever experienced. Really. This feels better than my $3000 Zon and many other high-enders I've had the pleasure of playing. Does anybody know where to find the serial? I'd love to hear from other bassstar fans (or foes!) as any more info would be great.

OK...here are some pics. I apologize for their poor quality. Sweet bass though!

Wow, that's really bizarre! Aside from the neck-through construction, which I've NEVER seen on a Bassstar, every neck I've seen with the hooked headstock and that logo has had the carbon weave versus the "thousand ladies dancing". Extremely cool!

I don't know what's up with those rusty pickup screws. Can someone tell me what the "kld" or "thousand ladies dancing" means? Still no luck with the serial number. I might just have to settle with nothing. Still sounds and feels great without a serial number!
