well, i as well as most, probably walk out of the shop with a few light scratches here and there, but this thread is for the less common ones, the ones that take a while to heal, or things that could be considered injury.
i just had one myself. i borrowed some shaping/carving hand tools from the school. carving went well, until i decided to make one part concave, which requiered me to dig in a bit. the hand tool slipped and went far (maybe 3/4 of the way) into the palm of my hand. i looked at it for a while to see how much it would bleed. once i help about a tablespoon of blood in my hand, i decided to clean it up. this was the first time in years that there was a gel like quality to my blood. this was the first time that when i stretched my palm out, MUSCLES POPPED OUT a little (muscles, not dead skin). i though it was cool and was actually laughing. of corse, now i am going to keep my hand in a relaxed semi cup shape, to avoid it damaging and bleeding further. don't want to screw up my fretting hand. this isn't the first time i have cut my hand this deep. a few years ago, i got pushed out of a 3rd floor window, i broke the glass, and grabbed the frame to prevent myself from falling, and there was a good amount of glass on the frame
)
other than that, ladst friday, i fell from the top of the ladder in shp class, and landed on head/upper shoulder. am fine though (exept for skinned up hands from trying to grab the steps to stop falling), my head is abnormally hard, and i have a very high pain tolerance.
will get pics of the head up. whats your story

Go see a doctor and get that wound taken care of, before you get an infection.
