PLEASE tell me you're joking.. I have this joint soaking in De-Glue-Goo all night. I'm really want to bag it up and tell the customer my normal disclaimer spill for not working on junk..

It's too bad I already decapitated it.. :atoz:

I think this thread (or at least the pic) needs to be pinned at the top of every DB forum warning against buying $<800 basses. Or better yet, put the words on it with some skull & crossbones saying "This is what $500 buys you." :rolleyes:

Those pics are going up on my wall, with this one.

I have the top off a CCB right now. The bass bar was a slab-cut piece of rubbish and bent like a banana. Thankfully there's not too much edge ply damage, and I'm not looking at the neck joint at all. But I weighed the top last night ... 2500 grams!!! That's a kilo heaver than any of the other tops I've seen!

Much better! :D This pic is prior to dry-fitting the neck.
I used "orange box" cedar for the shim. I'm not using my good spruce on this project. Besides, the bass has a nice aroma now. :ninja:

Here's the finished product after applying touchup varnish using an airbrush. I revarnished the entire heel. The color's a little off, but who caaaaares.. :spit:
