It has been asked in the Magicstomp thread, but does anyone have any experiance with both of these?
I'm looking for something small, I'm only likely to be using an overdrive (something as tube sounding as possible) and an auto-wah (or manual wah) in band situations but I'd like to mess around with more. However the drum machine and recording option of the Zoom are really appealing for home use.
So far this is the way I see it...
Zoom
Pros - Expression Pedal (for Manual Wah, Volume)
Recording capabilities
Samples I have heard sound excellent
Noise Reducing Circuit sounds good.
Less expensive than Yamaha
Drum Machine
Cons - I had a Zoom 605 and there was a constant background hum, which has put me off other Zoom products.
Yamaha
Pros - Excellent reviews, supposedly great studio quality, usable effects.
Deep edit
Cons- More expensive
No Manual pedal
No recording capabilities
