I'm looking to purchase one or the other pretty soon (waiting for the Corvette release date). It's either the Corvette 4 or the Thumb 5. I showed a pic of the Thumb 4 just for reference.

Yah, except thats most likely because of the pure maple body which probably weighs a ton
Overall, i think the corvette body looks and feel better that the thumb. Now if warwick made a corvette Ltd 2004 in a five string, then i wouldnt stop to think before buying it. However, i don't think they will

Nope, the top is quilted maple and the body beneath is ash.

My BB Thumb 4 weighs under 7 lbs. (purely a guess based on my old Cort Curbow weighing 6 and this one being mere ounces different.)

Gard has estimated the BB5 as "easily, three pounds lighter than the other fives in here".

That snappy maple with a big ol' B on it? Go for it! I'm *only* not getting one because I've decided on a Dingwall instead for my next five.
