Can you match each bass with its corresponding soudclip? Which one is your favorite?

Cool idea...the only one that seemed somewhat obvious to me was #3 as the Thumb. I preferred #2 and #4... which, lo-and-behold, are the 'traditional' Sads. Just another reminder that I should save my pennies and sell off a bass or two for one of these things...

Also interesting to hear how the brighter sound of #2 was the ash/maple/JJ Sadowsky, while the darker/warmer sound of #4 was the alder/rosewood/PJ one. Sometimes the stats actually are meaningful, huh?

Huh... Eskimo was just having a guess, I didn't say that the results he posted were correct ;)

(without going back and listening to the fingerstyle clips. . . :) )

1. Sad 24F
2. MTD tulip/wenge
3. Thumb
4. Sadowsky VJ
5. Sadowsky PJ
6. MTD ash/maple
7. Marleaux
8. F

I'm a lot more confident about these than the fingerstyle ones.

Favorite? Depends on the situation. However, #8 has a "coherence" in the tone that is just awesome.
