And its a buttercream, baby! :hyper: The bass so nice I bought two. Actually the twins do sound a bit different even acoustically, so I do believe I'm going to keep both. The sterling with the smaller body is a little more resonant and sweet, the stingray 5 with the bigger body has more lows and a more forceful tone.

IMO, not only are the buttercreams the most beautiful MM basses ever, they also seem to have been given a bit of extra juju at the factory. Maybe I'm imagining things, but these are the sweetest EBMM basses I've ever played!

I think this 5HH is going to cause me to be posting some for sale ads ... for a number of reasons :ninja:

Thanks phunkypants for selling me the sterling and getting me hooked up on EBMM's drug.

That is sweet !!! Not to hijack, but I got it's little brother, a Stingray 4 HH buttercreme, I think from the same place. I love it and a 5 HH is definitely in my future. Enjoy those.

Beautiful. The 5 is hot but the Sterling is just killin' me! If you ever get exhausted with it, pickles, just let your buddy here in the East end know. ;) He'll be there with cash in hand.

Roger that. It may happen eventually, but I'll hang on to it as long as I can (financially).

Beautiful. And that buttercream is a limited edition color, too.

Yup, no longer available for order ... 2005 only.

They are being tight lipped about how many got made, but from what I can tell it sounds like there were about 50 of them made with two pickups ... spread out across the different models ... so there are probably less than 10 of these 5HHs in this color :bassist:

It may be a big time collectable ... but I'm going to PLAY it.

I'm jealous. One of those - an HH SR5 - is very high on my list of things I must have to survive in this modern world.

Post a review once you've lived with it a while.

Will do. I try not to post reviews too soon ... since I always love whatever bass I just picked up.
