Warmoth dinky j project complete

I just finished my fretless jazz project project. I am real happy with the way it turned out and just wanted to share.:)
specs:
Walnut dinky j body - finished with a homebrew Danish oil
birdseye maple with zitrcote board fretless neck(thanks JerryJ)
and I veneered the headstock with matching walnut
Bartolini pups
Audere Jz3 pre
Gotoh 201 bridge
Schaller machines and straplocks

thanks, the sound is fantastic, lots of mwahh. I am really impressed with the walnut body it gives it a nice little punch and the zircote board is nice and warm. It is strung with LaBella black tape nylons.

Nice. I've got a Dinky J in walnut too. Mine's mahog with a walnut top. For a little bit heavier wood, the Dinky body seems to have taken off just a bit of weight, seems less awkward to handle and looks good without a pickguard.:ninja:

So YOU'RE THE ONE WHO BOUGHT THAT BODY!!!!
(assuming it's the one I lusted over for a while in the Warmoth "showroom") - I was bummed when it was finally sold.

Not that I ended up following through on the Warmoth plan. I have to say - it looks a lot better than it would have if I'd gotten ahold of it.

Yeah! I can vouch for the mwah on those walnut bodied Warmoths. My first fretless was a walnut Warmoth Jazz with a maple/ebony neck/board w/Bart p/u's and pre. Great sounding bass!

Congratulations! Yours looks great! From what I hear about the Audere pre's, you should have awesome control of the mid freq's!

yeah, I got it about a month ago out of the showroom, wasn't my first choice(being a dinky j) but I couldn't resist the price for the walnut. The dinky j body style grew on me real fast after I got started on the project. :D
