Q Tron power supply problems

hio everyone,

i reacently bought a new Q Tron pedel, but did not receive a power supply with it.

because of this i cannot use the pedel, as i cant get the right voltage supply that fits the pedel.

does any one know where i can get a power supply that works in England?

or is there any way to get an american pedel and convert it?

any helps appreshiated,

I actually looked it up, and the only way I found was to use this:

Yeah, it's hard to hold when playing bass, and the lightning rod is only useful during a rain storm... but it's something all EHX users have to get used to.

I'd forgotten that the Q-Tron had an odd power supply. Actually, there should be a modern EHX pedal of similar size that runs on the same voltage, I believe (some of the current extra-large EHX pedals run on 24V, some on 40V, some on 18V...). Check with your local shops to see if they've got anything similar.

The other option would be a voltage converter of some sort, like what all of us American tourists carry with us :D

Yeah, if the adaptor was designed right. The idea is that the transformer in the adaptor is supposed to convert the input voltage (220V in the UK, if I remember correctly... I haven't been there in a while :D ) to the voltage level used by the pedal. In the States, all of our adapters turn 110V to 120V into whatever the pedal uses (typically 9V, but some pedals are unique, like those large EHX ones). An English adaptor would have a different transformer and socket plug that do the same basic task.
