Why are my images coming up as links (that do work, BTW) instead of the actual pic.
In other words,
does not work in either "insert image" mode or typed manually.

Here's an example when "insert image" is used:

Cause yahoo makes it so you can't hot link them with the IMG HTML tricks.
Switch to photobucket or putfile.
