I just got this about an hour ago. It was freezing cold so I've let it warm up and then gave it a quick run through. Construction and quality is excellent! Feels great and the neck is a bit different after having a Precision for 5 years. This isn't a very good review...but here's some lovely pics anyways! :hyper:

Congrats and enjoy! :hyper:

A beauty..those japanese Fenders are just so nice - craftmanship, fit, feel, finish, tone - all excellent, IMO. The best price-quality ratio, when it comes to Fenders, I think.

Just an update...it says 'FC', not 'FCR' sorry. I was thinking this may stand for 'fence cover' which seems to be a selling point of these basses. I think that emas the pickup covers...those crazy japanese! :D

SneakyT...I have you to thank for making me choose the candy apple red. It just looks so good! :hyper:

I have been a fan of CAR for years and the Japanese models have the color spot on. I'll also add for any who have not seen one of these in person that the color looks so much deeper than it does in photographs. If I didn't already own so many jazzes I would be jonesing for that bass right now. Who am I kidding? I am jonesing for that bass right now. I don't need another jazz...I don't need another jazz...I don't need another jazz...It's not working. Congrats on that beauty.

Ishibashi.co.jp do a search on here, theres many helpful threads and the whole deal went fine (apart from my bank stopping the transactrion a couple of times due to people in tokyo taking my money!)

Ishibashi can be hard to use if you're new to it, but many hours trawling through ??????!!!!!!???????????????base!!??? has turned up the goods! :D

There are also people who import them, but you pay more for them. Examples in the uk are guitaremporium.co.uk
