Amp died last night :(

I was rehearsing with my band when half way through, my Nemesis NC410 cab/combo started making a crackling noise (from the horn) and I lost volume and power, then when I turned the unit off to check things out, it made an awfully loud "pop" sound following by a subsiding squeal... :eek:

Still doing it this morning, so I will have to bring it back to the place of purchase for a warranty repair.

Anyone else experience this with a cab/combo. What ended up being the problem?

Hi.

Down-powering sounds, pops, farts and squeals are usually power supply related. The crackles while playing can be almost anything, specially when the amp is new, for older amps it's usually a bad connection somewhere.

Good to hear It's under warranty, makes the repair a lot easier and cheaper.

Yes, it did.

It actually turns out that while the book says 2 years, they only offer a 1 year warranty in Oz...which expired three months ago :(

I can feel some GAS coming on... :D
