Details

This has been an awesome cab for me. I'm selling because I no longer need a full-range cab. I'm messing with bi-amping, so I just got a Schroeder 1212R to handle my lows.

This is the PERFECT solution if you want a full-range cab with a compact size. This can easily keep up with and even out perform most 410 cabs and it's about the size of a 210 cab!! You no longer need an SUV or van to haul your rig! So, technically, it's a gas saver! The cab is in great condition. The Schroeder sticker on one of the side handles is worn, but the plastic is still on the logo on the grille.

Here's some specs:

- 10" and 12" woofers and a a titanium super tweeter.
- 4 Ohms
- 850W RMS
- 23.5"W x 16"H x 16"D
- 52lbs.

Here's the link to Schroder's site:

Remember, this is the 'R' (Regular) version.

These are about $740 new plus S&H. My price is $525 plus S&H. Local pickup is a plus. I'm between Altoona and State College, PA.

Thanks TB.

BUMP.....

To give some insight, I am the type of person that NEVER buys new gear. I've owned 50+ basses, all used. I've gone through several different bass rigs and setups.....all used. After having this Schroeder cab, I fell in love with them so much that I bought that 1212R BRAND NEW. I did this because I will not be getting rid of this cab. If they made a 2x10 or 3x8, I'd own a new one of those as well.

If you want compact, clear, crisp, and LOUD, then go Schroeder. This isn't just a sales pitch for my cab; it's a pitch for Schroeders everywhere!

It sounded amazing. I could crank that Mesa and that cab could handle whatever I threw at it MUCH better than any other cab I tried with it.

I have recently changed my entire rig. (It's not that the Mesa/Schroeder rig was bad. I just wanted a change and I have HUGE commitment issues!) Anyway, I am now, temporarily, using an Ampeg SVT-4 PRO with my new 1212R. It THUMPS and it gets that dirty nasty growl that I just couldn't get out of that Mesa. Once my 3x8" LDS cab arrives, I will be using the 2 power units in the SVT-4 to use its bi-amping feature.

Again, if I wasn't desperate for the cash, I'd keep this 1210R for handling my higher frequencies or if I had a smaller gig that only required one full-range cab.

Thanks for all the bumps..

200W RMS I think would severely underpower this cab. It's rated t 850W RMS. I don't know why it is, but I've heard that you should try to match the power handling of your cabs. Obviously overpowering a cab can blow the speakers, but from what I've heard it's not good for a cab if you're only pumping a little bit of power into it compared to what it's rated for.

Thanks

Just a quick one to say that i bought one of these yesterday. I had the chance to play it beside a pair of Bergantino 1x12's, an Aguilar GS112, a Bag End 1x15 and my Dr Bass RX1260.

The Schroeder whooped everything ass...it's an awesome awesome cab!!! The Bag End was a bit louder (and it's only 8 ohms, buts), but that's why you have a volume knob. The Aguilar and Dr Bass together were not as full sounding, nor as punchy as the Schroeder. And the 2 Bergantino's were nice, very nice, but would not cut it as well as the Schroeder live, it's simply an awesome cab. 1 cab does all...i'm looking forward to gigging it and having less gear to haul around!!!

BUY THIS!

The militia has spoken! Schroeder cabs are getting quite the good reputation as they well should be. Thanks for the bumpins.

Don't want to hijack the thread but how did the Bag End compare other than volume wise?

Not true at all, but it's widely repeated rumor so it's no wonder people believe it.

How did something like that get started? I agree and it doesn't makes sense to me at all. I'm not a speaker guru, but I feel I'm fairly electrically savvy. But I've heard that so much as of recently that I started believing it.

Some things like that get repeated because audio principles were often based on guesswork until the science caught up with what people wanted to do with it. Some things like that get repeated because someone on the internet states it as fact and others believe it. Hard to tell where this one got started, but the only thing that can blow a speaker is pushing it past the point of safely running. If a clip from a low powered amp pushes it past the point of safely running, then it will blow. But if the clip falls into the range of the speaker's safe power handling, all it's going to do is annoy you.

BUMP...

No price drop per say, BUT.....I will throw in the cover for it ($75 new). I was saving it to use when I took my 1212R out because it's the same size as this 1210R. But, it will go with this cab if it helps it sell.

So, $525 + Actual shipping for the cab and cover.
