15~ year old mutt. His parents were a black lab/husky and a shepherd/great dane. He's about 3 feet tall from the shoulder and weighs 140 pounds. If you haven't guessed it, he's a male.
Things he does wrong:
-Opens doors (he's figured out how to open all the bedroom doors in the house, and he lets himself inside sleep in people's beds)
-If you kick him out of your room, he'll open the door when you're sleeping, and pull the blankets off your bed and he'll make a nest on the floor.
-Hops over the fence (this one is a real puzzler to fix, since its a 6 foot stockade fence)
-Opens up the fridge and helps himself to the food
-He hits people (he was taught not to bite, so now he either whacks you with a paw or whips you with his leash)
-He tricks me, my house mates, and my girlfriends dog. My girlfriend has some tiny little thing and for some reason it hordes food. My dog is a fat ass and wants to eat it, so he'll run into the porch barking and she'll follow suit even though there is nothing there. This has been going on for awhile, but now he's figured out that if he barks longer, one of us will go get up and see who is there. Then he runs back to steal your space on the couch, or your food if you left it on the coffee table.
There's a couple of other things too, and most are just annoying. But the opening the fridge part runs up the electric, and I'm afraid he'll jump the fence and get hit by a car.
By and large though, he's a good dog, but he's old. He was kept in an apartment most of his life until I drove across country with him to live in NYC.
People think what he does is cute. I find it aggravating...
